High temperature desulfurizers with zinc oxide as the main component, it is a conversion absorption type solid desulphurisation agent. As oxidation can react with H2S to produce ZnS which is difficult to dissociate, the total sulphur of the purified gas can be reduced to below 0.3ppm, with a weight sulphur capacity of up to 25%l on, but it cannot be regenerated and is generally used in the fine desulphurisation process.

High temperature desulfurizers process can be divided into the following five steps:
(1) Diffusion of H2S molecules in the raw gas from the main body of the gas stream to the outer surface of the desulfurizer.
(2) Diffusion of H2S into the pores of the desulphurizer particles.
(3) Reaction of H2S with ZnO on the inner surface of the desulphurizer volume to form ZnS.
(4) Diffusion of the generated water vapour outwards within the pores of the desulphurising agent particles.
(5) Water molecules diffuse from the outer surface of the particles into the main body of the gas stream.

With the conversion and absorption function of desulphurization agent is usually called zinc oxide desulphurization agent, its affinity for the stronger chemical elements for sulphur, for the original material in the presence of hydrogen sulphide and organic sulphur can be effectively and more carefully removed, producing a strong stability of zinc sulphide, with high precision desulphurization and relatively simple and smooth operation as well as high sulphur capacity and other characteristics of desulphurization agent. The area of its use is expanding, often used in the production of ammonia and hydrogen, methanol synthesis and coal chemical industry and crude oil refining and other aspects.

Product feature and application

1. AMC-TS-301 is suitable for feed desulfurizing purification in hydrogen, ammonia syngas or methanol syngas production plants with hydrocarbon steam reforming process.

2. AMC-TS-302 is a kind of ZnO consisted desulfurizer with both conversion and absorption functions, which can convert and absorb organic sulfur in the feed gas.

3. AMC-TS-302 has good conversion and adsorption performances for simple sulfides.

4. High temperature desulfurizers has deep desulfurization extent with less than 0.1ppm of outlet H2S content.
