Hydrogenation Catalyst for H2O2 Production
Anthraquinone method is the main process to produce hydrogen peroxide all over the world.
In the production, dissolve the anthraquinone into organic solution to get working solution, under the effect of hydrogen and catalyst, to produce anthrahydroquinone by hydrogenation of anthraquinone, then recover back under oxidation of oxygen and produced hydrogen peroxide.
Working solution and hydrogenation catalyst are the main factors to the production. Also, anthraquinone hydrogenation is the key step to produce hydrogen peroxide and the production of hydrogenation catalyst is important to the process.
Catalyst with high activity and selectivity properties is the fundamental way. Currently, the most common catalyst of anthraquinone method is Pd catalyst and the carrier is γ-Al2O3, dipping the carrier into the pd chloride solution then roasting with high temperature.
New type catalyst is to increase the activity through modification of carrier and the addition of assistant.
