Silicon Trapping Catalyst

Product Introduction:

Silicon trapping catalyst(AM-FS-2) is a hydrogenation catalyst for silicon trapping that developed by FRIPP. It has been successfully applied on more than twenty sets of device in China.

The processing of silicon-containing coker naphtha is often difficult: on the one hand, silicon can deposit on the surface of the hydrotreating catalyst, covering the active metal of the catalyst and blocking the pore channels of the catalyst, resulting in a large loss of pore volume and specific surface area of the catalyst, thus causing a rapid decrease in catalyst activity and a significant reduction in the operating cycle of the hydrotreating plant. On the other hand, silicon penetrates the hydrotreating catalyst bed and enters the downstream reformer, leading to rapid catalyst poisoning. Therefore, in the hydrotreating of silica-containing coker naphtha, the role of the catalyst is usually limited by the silica resistance of the catalyst rather than by the catalyst activity. A hydrotreating silica trap with high silica resistance and total silica tolerance can increase the silica resistance and still have good desulphurisation and denitrogenation activity, thus ensuring the long and stable operation of the silica-containing coker naphtha hydrotreating plant.

Characteristics of Silicon trapping catalyst:

1) Large pore volume, high specific surface area and good strength etc.
2) Ability of silicon trapping is four times higher than normal grade catalyst.

Silicon trapping catalyst is mainly used for the hydrorefining of feedstock which contain silicon.

Package and Storage:

1) Packed by steel drum with inner plastic bag.
2) Avoid raining and damage of package during the transportation.
3) Shelf life is 3 years if stored correctly(out of sunshine, in a cool place, keeping in closed
drum).
