Activated alumina pressure swing adsorbent is not only produced for drying in PSA units, but also absorbs lubricating oil vapors from contaminated oxygen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, natural gas, etc.

Activated alumina pressure swing adsorbents are mainly used as adsorbents in the field of adsorption in PSA units. This is mainly due to its large specific surface area, reasonable pore structure, good physical properties, good chemical stability and many other favorable factors. Its important industrial applications include drying gases, drying liquids, purifying and treating water, and selective adsorption in the petroleum industry.

Industrial use introduction:

1. Separation and purification of circulating process streams. It have excellent adsorption properties for highly polar compounds such as water and ethanol. At the same time, it can also adsorb TBC (p-tert-butylcatechol) in hydrocarbons, as well as heavy metals;

2. Adsorption of hydrocarbons. Under appropriate conditions, the surface pore size distribution and surface chemistry of the activated alumina desiccant help to adsorb impurities in hydrocarbons;

3. Removal of acidic impurities. Removes acids from transformer oil, lubricating oil and refrigerant use. It can remove acidic substances generated during its use. During the manufacture of chlorinated and fluorinated hydrocarbons, removal of excess halides and water is necessary to not corrode the product;

4. Drying. Almost all gases and liquids can be dried with it. During the production, storage and transportation of liquids, it is necessary to remove the water vapor inside. It has become the standard industrial desiccant for compressed gases, maintaining good performance at low dew points.
