Product Introduction:
Mg(OH)2 for PVC, white powder, stable below 300℃, decomposition starts at 320℃, producing magnesium oxide and water, decomposition is fastest at 430℃, finished at 490℃. Soluble in alkene acid and ammonium solution, insoluble in water, ethanol. Mg(OH)2 for PVC not only has a flame retardant effect, there is an - eye function, non-toxic, non-corrosive, a variety of performance better than aluminum hydroxide, safe and cheap, belong to the environmental protection inorganic flame retardant.
As MDH is inorganic, the surface is less compatible with the polymer matrix, such a high filling amount, if it is not surface modified treatment, after filling into the polymer material, will lead to the mechanical properties of the composite material decreased. Therefore, when the filling amount in the formulation is large, it must be surface-modified to improve its compatibility with the polymer matrix material, so that the mechanical properties of the material can be improved.
Advantages of Mg(OH)2 for PVC:
1) The thermal decomposition temperature reaches 340℃, which is conducive to the increase of plastic processing temperature, speed up the extrusion speed, improve the plasticizing effect, shorten the moulding time, the surface gloss of the product is high, no surface defects, at the same time, ensure that it has superb peeling strength.
2) Uniform particle size distribution, good compatibility with the base material, the mechanical properties of the product has a small impact.
3)Magnesium hydroxide burning dehydration generated by magnesium oxide is a high-strength, high heat-resistant materials, can be used as a layer of protective wall, isolated from fire and toxic and harmful gases, magnesium hydroxide and acid neutralization ability, can be faster and plastic combustion process generated by acidic gases SO2, NOx, CO2, etc..
4) Its decomposition ability is high, high efficiency of flame retardant, strong smoke suppression ability, small hardness, small friction to equipment, help to extend the life of equipment.
