Process and Application

Aluminum hydroxide flame retardant with strong polarity and hydrophilic, with poor compatibility between nonpolar polymer materials, difficult to form a combination of good interface to improve ATH and cohesive force and interface compatibility between polymer and the coupling agent for surface treatment of ATH flame retardants is one of the most effective method of aluminum hydroxide particles after surface treatment can also improve the compatibility with resin, flame retardant can be well dispersed in the resin, heat-resisting temperature up to 330 also at the same time, thus suitable for PE, PP,EVA(ethylene/acetic acid vinyl acetate copolymer) and high processing temperature of engineering plastics PBT(polybutylene terephthalate vinegar) and PA(nylon) ATH commonly used coupling agent is silane and cinate vinegar ATH after the treatment of good flame retardant effect, can effectively improve the flexural strength of poly vinegar and epoxy resin tensile strength;Vinyl-silane treated ATH can be used to improve flame retardation, heat resistance, moisture resistance of crosslinked vinyl-vinyl acetate copolymer. The vinyl-vinyl-acetate coupling can be used together with the silane coupling agent, which can produce synergistic effect on others such as silane ethyl ketone isocyanate and phosphochinate. It can also be used as the coupling agent for the surface treatment of aluminum hydroxide.
