Product Introduction:
Aluminium hydroxide as a flame retardant has many unique advantages, and is abundant, inexpensive, wide range of applications and many varieties. Its flame retardant mechanism is the release of large amounts of water vapour by thermal decomposition. This is a strong heat-absorbing reaction, with heat absorption reaching 1967.2 J/g, which plays a role in cooling the polymer. The water vapour generated by the reaction can dilute the polymerised combustible gases and inhibit the spread of combustion, and the newly generated alumina also has a high activity, which can adsorb soot particles and play a role in suppressing smoke.
In addition, the ultrafine aluminium hydroxide has better drip resistance, promotes charring, can be retained in the polymer for a long time and increases its resistance to arcing. After dehydration, ATH generates evenly distributed metal oxides with good refractory properties on the surface of combustible materials, which can form a dense flame retardant barrier together with other carbon compounds, isolate the air and reduce the burning rate, thus reducing the rate of mass loss of decomposition products and preventing the spread of flame. Ultrafine aluminium hydroxide can be widely used in the production of various cable materials, adhesives, silicone rubber, etc.
When ultrafine aluminium hydroxide is added in larger quantities, it may be less compatible with polymers. We can make surface coating to improve compatibility and processability.Modifiers can be selected according to customer requirements.
