Porous Material - Raw Materials Of Catalyst Carrier
According to the definition of International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry(IUPAC), we classify porous materials into 3 types:
aperture smaller than 2 nm is called as micropore materials,
aperture between 2 - 50 nm is called as mesopore materials,
aperture larger than 50 nm is called as marcopore materials.
In the production of catalyst carrier, porous materials like pseudo boehmite, molecular sieve, activated alumina powders are most important to the properties.
Average aperture(pore size), max aperture(pore size), aperture distribution and specific surface area etc factors have decisive influences to catalyst carrier.
