Activated alumina balls are defluorinated like the anion-exchange resin, but very selective.
The defluorination effect of them is good. The capacity is stable and the absorbed fluorine is 6400g/cm³.
It has high strength, low wear.It does not soften in water, not expanding, not having powdery, not having crack.
It can be widely used in deep drying of pyrolysis gas, ethylene and propylene, hydrogen production, air separation, instrument air drying and fluorine treatment of hydrogen peroxide.
And it also can be used to absorb H2S, SO2 and other pollutants, HF and water vapor in paraffin, especially in defluorination of drinking water.
