Refining Process - Catalytic Reforming
Catalytic reforming is the process that under the working of heating, hydrogen pressure and catalyst, make the light gasoline fraction(or naphtha) which obtained by crude distillation into high octane number gasoline rich in aromatic(reforming gasoline), and producing liquiefied petroleum gas and hydrogen as byproducts.
Reforming gasoline can be used as the harmonic component of gasoline, or produce benzene, toluene and xylene by the extraction of aromatics.
Byproduct hydrogen is the important source of hydrogen that hydrogenation unit using(hydrorefining and hydrocracking process etc) in oil refinery.
