Activated alumina in hydrogen peroxide

As a kind of adsorption material, activated alumina plays an important role in the production of hydrogen peroxide.

Activated alumina is a white spherical porous solid particle with a smooth surface. It is characterized by a large specific surface area and pore volume, high crushing strength, strong hygroscopicity, no swelling or cracking after water absorption, and maintaining the original state, non-toxic, odorless, insoluble in water and ethanol.Activated alumina is a porous and highly dispersed material, and its porosity also makes it widely used in adsorption applications.

In the production of hydrogen peroxide, the main function of hydrogen peroxide is to regenerate anthraquinone degradation products and adsorb excess lye and water. At present, more than 90% of hydrogen peroxide plants worldwide use the anthraquinone method. In the process of anthraquinone production, activated alumina will regenerate the degraded products due to side reactions in the production, so that it can be restored to effective substances, reducing material consumption and improving resource utilization; At the same time, activated alumina will remove the lye entrained in the working fluid and adsorb harmful substances produced in the production process, improve product quality, and reduce damage to expensive catalysts.

The activated alumina produced by us has a specific surface area greater than 300m2/g and a pore volume greater than 40cm3/g, which increases the contact area between our product and the hydrogen peroxide working fluid, enhances the adsorption efficiency of the product, and helps improve the conversion rate of hydrogen oxide anthraquinone increases the effective content of anthraquinone, helps hydrogen peroxide plants save costs and improve product quality.
