Product Introduction
Catalyst auxiliary for FCC is a high-efficiency solid auxiliary that can significantly reduce sulfur oxides in flue gas in refinery catalytic cracking unit.
It can effectively have a series of specific reactions with the sulfur in the flue gas, diverting it and turn it into H2S to reduce the sulfur content in the flue gas.
When the addition amount reaches 5%, the sulfur oxides in the flue gas are reduced by 80%, and the product distribution of the catalytic cracking unit is not affected.

Factory:

Usually catalytic cracking feedstock oil contains 0.3%-3.0% sulfur in the form of organic sulfides, while the content in residual oil can reach 4.0%.
During FCC processing, about 50% of the sulfur in the cracked feed enters the gas in the form of H2S, 40% enters the liquid product, and the remaining 10% enters the coke and is deposited on the cracking catalyst.
Sulfide is SO2 and SO3, collectively referred to as SOX, SOX will be discharged into the atmosphere with the regenerator flue gas, causing pollution to the environment.
The quality of feedstock is an important factor affecting SOX emissions from FCC units.
The distribution of sulfur is greatly affected by the type and content of sulfur in the feedstock.
The content and specific type of sulfur in the feed determine the potential SOX emissions.
Typically, about 10% of the sulphur in the feed goes to the SOX, this value can vary between 5%-30% for different feedstocks and operating conditions, for example when processing hydrotreated oils, the sulphur entering the coke accounts for the feedstock .The proportion of sulfur can reach more than 15%.
The concentration range of SOX in flue gas is generally 200-3000μg/g. The relative content of SO2 and SO3 in SOX is greatly affected by regeneration conditions such as oxygen content and temperature.
Catalyst auxiliary is blended into the FCC catalyst and circulated together between the reactor and the regenerator. In the regenerator, it can promote the oxidation and adsorption of SO2 in the flue gas, and the SO3 forms stable metal sulfate on the surface of the host. The metal sulfate enters the riser reactor with the regenerant. In the reducing atmosphere, the sulfur in the sulfate is released in the form of H2S. Together with the H2S generated by the cracking reaction, it is used as the raw material of the sulfur recovery unit for sulfur recovery.
