What is calcined alumina

High-temperature calcined alumina powder takes industrial aluminum hydroxide or industrial alumina as raw material, and is calcined at appropriate temperature into α-type alumina product with stable crystal form; using calcined α-type alumina as raw material, it is made by ball milling of alumina micropowder. Pure alumina is white amorphous powder, density 3.9-4.0g/cm3, melting point 2050℃, boiling point 2980℃, insoluble in water. Calcined alumina powder = high temperature calcined alumina powder = a-Alumina (alpha alumina powder) different names are actually the same product.

Alumina micropowder products are divided into 325 mesh, 500 mesh, 600 mesh, 800 mesh micropowder and fine-grained micropowder.


According to different use requirements, five series of products have been formed, including dry pressing, isostatic pressing process series, hot die casting, grouting series, refractory material series, pouring molding series, alumina structural ceramic granulation powder.

Dry pressing, isostatic pressing process series:

This series of products is refined by advanced formula and strict process, with reasonable particle size distribution, good particle fluidity, loose bonding between grains, good grindability and easy sintering. Its ceramic parts are dense, smooth surface, high mechanical strength and good electrical insulation, which are ideal raw materials for manufacturing special ceramics.


Hot die casting, grouting series:

This series of products has large original grain size, stable performance, good molding performance, small product shrinkage, and wide application range. It is especially suitable for hot die casting and grouting series. Grinding porcelain parts (mortar pump shaft plug pump lining, impeller, grinding media ball, etc.), electronic substrates, electronic vacuum tubes, etc.


Refractory series:

The product has a stable crystal form, which can improve the refractoriness and mechanical properties of the product. It is suitable for the production of unshaped refractories (various high-alumina castables), shaped refractories (corundum bricks, etc.), furnace building materials, etc. High temperature, excellent thermal shock stability and processing characteristics, etc., prolong the service life of refractory materials.


Casting series:

The product has uniform grains, good filling performance and pouring activity, which can improve the sintering density, high temperature bending and compressive strength of the castable, and enhance the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, erosion resistance and other properties of the castable. It can be used for low cement, ultra-low cement or no cement castables, shaped refractories and precision polishing.


Alumina ceramic granulation powder:

After scientific research, it is automatically ground, pulped and spray-dried. The particle size distribution is uniform, the fluidity is good, and the strength is moderate; the green body produced has high strength, excellent demoulding performance, and low firing temperature; the surface of the product is smooth and the structure is dense. It can meet the technological requirements of rapid dry pressing of precision ceramics, and is an ideal raw material for the production of electronic ceramics and structural ceramic components.
