Introduction of RIPP

RIPP was established in 1956, focusing on the development of petroleum refining technology and market solutions.

In 1960s, RIPP developed 5 processes of fluid catalytic cracking, catalytic reforming, delayed coking, urea dewaxing and new catalyst&assistant, which helped the starting of petrochemical industry in China.

In 1970s, RIPP developed processes like riser catalytic cracking, catalytic cracking catalyst(molecular sieve type), semi-regenerative catalytic reforming technology, bimetallic reforming catalyst, aviation lubricant etc, which guaranteed thedevelopment of China refining technology.

In 1980s, RIPP joined SINOPEC and kept the development of heavy oil processing, catalytic hydrogenation etc technology, then started the research of petrochemical industries.

In 1990s, the hydrogenation, reforming, isomerization etc technologies were improved and widely used in many applications.
