Easily, flame retardants can be devided by organic and inorganic, holgen and non-holgen.

Bromine, Nitrogen and Phosphorus based flame retardants can be involved in organic type. Antimony, Magnesium, Aluminum and Silicon based flame retardants can be involved in inorganic type.

Chlorine and Bromine based flame retardant can be involve in holgen type. Phosphorus, Magnesium, Aluminum based flame retardants can be involved in non-holgen type.
