The difference between white corundum and tabular alumina

White corundum is made of aluminum oxide powder, which is crystallized by electrofusion, slightly harder than brown corundum, slightly lower toughness, high purity, good self-sharpening, strong grinding ability, small heat generation, high efficiency, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, good heat stability.

White corundum is a kind of artificial abrasive. It contains more than 98% alumina trioxide (AI2O3) and less iron oxide, silicon oxide and other components, white.

White corundum is made of industrial alumina powder, which is smelted in electric arc at more than 2000 degrees and then cooled, crushed and shaped, magnetically selected to remove iron, and sieved into various particle sizes.

The product size is produced according to international standards and national standards, and can be processed according to the size required by customers. The common particle size number is F4~F220, and its chemical composition varies according to the size. The outstanding feature is that the crystal size is small and impact resistant, if crushed by self-mill, the particles are mostly spherical particles, the surface is dry and clean, easy to bond.

It is suitable for grinding high carbon steel, high speed steel and stainless steel, etc. It can also be used for precision casting and high performance refractory materials.

Tabular alumina, also known as tabular corundum, is a pure, shrinkage finished sintered alumina that is sintered without any additives. The slab alumina is made of alumina powder, which is ground, shaped and dried, and then sintered in a warm kiln at a temperature slightly lower than the melting point of corundum, under the condition of rapid heating and cooling, forming many tightly bound slab-like crystals, with large crystalline grains and a median diameter of 40~200 microns, the two-dimensional shape of the crystal is flat and interspersed, and the crystal contains many round closed pores of 5~15 microns. The internal crystal contains many rounded closed pores of 5 ~ 15 microns, and the criminal pores are relatively small, generally 2% ~ 3%.
