Six Applications of High Purity Alumina
High-purity alumina is white micropowder with uniform particle size, easy to disperse, stable chemical properties, moderate high temperature shrinkage performance, and good sintering performance; high conversion rate and low sodium content, it is generally used in the following areas:
1. Luminescent material: used as the main raw material for rare earth tricolor phosphors, long afterglow phosphors, PDP phosphors, and LED phosphors;
2. Transparent ceramics: used as fluorescent tubes for high-pressure sodium lamps, electrical programmable read-only memory windows;
3. Single crystal: used in the manufacture of ruby, sapphire, yttrium aluminum garnet;
4. High-strength and high-aluminum ceramics: used in the manufacture of integrated circuit substrates, cutting tools, and high-purity crucibles;
5. Abrasives: abrasives used in the manufacture of glass, metals, semiconductors, and plastics;
6. Others: High-purity alumina can also be used as active coatings, adsorbents, catalysts and catalyst carriers, vacuum coating, special glass raw materials, composite materials, resin fillers, bioceramics, etc.
