High purity alumina grinding ball production process
Industrial alumina is the main raw material for the production of high-purity alumina abrasives. It is blown by electrofusion method, USES electric arc furnace as the basic electrofusion equipment, masonry with graphite or other refractory materials, and first class orifuses are built at the edges, and then a nozzle is installed, which shall be connected to the compressed air unit. Then the furnace body is tilted and graphite is used as electrode. Then, aluminum oxide powder can be added to the molten pool and then melted by using electricity. When the temperature is more than 2200 degrees Celsius, it will be rolled. Under the condition of tilting the furnace body, there will be a solution flowing out. Compressed air will also spray the solution flow. Under different conditions of the viscosity and surface tension of the solution, if the solution is continuously blown and condensed, then it may form a ball enveloping the air. Only after we collect and screen it, can we store it in different particle sizes for standby use. The greater the pressure of the compressed air, the greater the number of alumina globules. The natural bulk density of a hollow ball is inversely proportional to its particle size.
Because its sintering temperature is as high as 1650 -- 1990℃, transmission wavelength is 1 ~ 6 m, generally made of fused glass to replace platinum crucible: use its light transmittance and alkali resistance metal corrosibility as sodium lamp tube; In the electronics industry, it can be used as integrated electric subgrade board and high frequency insulation material.
