Crystal Structure of A, X and Y Molecular Sieves

A natural silicate aluminate exists in nature, which has molecular screening, adsorption, ion exchange and catalytic functions.

This natural substance is called zeolite, synthetic zeolite is also known as molecular sieve.

The general formula for the chemical composition of molecular sieve is :(Mn+)2/ NO · Al2O3· XSiO2 · Ph2O, M on behalf of metal ions (artificial synthesis is usually NA), N on behalf of the number of metal ions, X on behalf of the number of moles of SiO2, also known as the Si-Al ratio, P on behalf of the number of moles of water.

The most basic structure of the molecular sieve skeleton is SiO4 and AlO4 tetrahedron, through the common oxygen atoms combined to form a three-dimensional network structure of crystallization.

This combination form forms a cavity and pore channel with molecular level and uniform pore size.

Due to different structures, different forms, "cage" shaped space holes are divided into α, β, γ, hexagonal column, octahedral zeolite and other "cage" structure.
