Untreated natural gas generally contains carbon dioxide, water, hydrogen sulfide, organic sulfur and other impurities.

At the same time, water can react with hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and other gases in natural gas. If the water in natural gas is not removed in time, the natural gas pipeline will be seriously corroded.

In order to meet the needs of liquefaction, gathering and transportation, cryogenic separation and other processes, these impurities need to be purified by molecular sieves, in order to meet the standard of commercial natural gas.

The dewatering reduces the dewpoint of the natural gas, which also prevents the water in the gas from freezing and blocking the pipeline during liquefaction.
