The influence of ATH particle size on the properties of foamed silicone rubber

  In order to meet the flame retardant use requirements of foamed silicone rubber products, flame retardants are usually added to silicone rubber to improve the flame retardancy and practicality of silicone rubber. Aluminum hydroxide has the advantages of low smoke, low toxicity, and low corrosion, and is the most commonly used inorganic flame retardant in the manufacture of rubber products.

  In a high-temperature environment, aluminum hydroxide can decompose and absorb a large amount of heat, and release steam, delay the burning of the material, and play a good flame retardant effect. At present, aluminum hydroxide is used as a flame retardant powder to prepare flame-retardant foamed silicone rubber in a large amount, and there are few studies on the flame-retardant mechanism of aluminum hydroxide on foamed silicone rubber. 

  In this experiment, aluminum hydroxide was used as a flame retardant to study the effect of aluminum hydroxide particle size on the properties of foamed silicone rubber, and to analyze the impact mechanism from a microscopic point of view, in order to deepen the research on flame retardant silicone rubber, and to prepare flame-retardant foamed silicone rubber provides guidance.
